As the Dirtbag Runners community continues to grow, we thought it would be fun to shine a spotlight on our Ambassadors and local team members. Each week we’ll publish happenings from around the Dirtbag world which will include everything from team runs, race updates, beer miles, and just good ol’ fashion DBR fun! In the future, we’ll do a “get-to-know” section each week highlighting a different Ambassador!
The Arkansas DBR crew including Ambassador Cassie Brown got together on Thursday night for a group run around Mount Sequoyah and on Saturday for an 18 miler up Mount Magazine with members of the Arkansas Ultra Running Association. Those Ozark & Ouachita Mountains are pretty awesome.
One of the SE Michigan DBR’s, Daniel Denton, became a race director for the very first time when the Highland Loops Trail Race took place over the weekend. On the rough and rugged trails of the Highland State Recreation Area, the event featured a 7 and 16 mile race. Looks like the first year event went really well!
Exciting news out of the Boise DBR camp where team member Joelle Vaught set the new female FKT on the 48 mile Zion Traverse! Her new time of 8:26:09 lowered the time by roughly 6 minutes. Way to go Joelle! Also, big shout out to another DBR Boise team member Rick Valentine for helping pace! That DBR gear sure looks good 🙂
Be sure to check back next week for more Dirtbag action!
