It was a relatively slow week in terms of action for the Ambassadors and local teams, but there were still a couple blog-worthy stories to tell:

It’s always good to see when Dirtbags from across the US find themselves near each other and make an effort to get together for a run. This is definitely one of the major perks of this awesome community of runners. Ambassadors Joel de Blonk and Cassie Rittershouse Brown headed to Mt. Sequoyah for a 6.5 miler in the refreshing Arkansas heat and humidity.

A little racing action took place across the Western US from my fellow Dirtbags out of Boise. Leading the way and representing our crew was Joelle Vaught with a 2nd Female Overall at the 54k Broken Arrow Sky Race in Squaw Valley, CA. Additionally, one of our Dirtbag’s (Bob Pollman) was a proud Dad as his son, Tayte Pollman finished 6th Overall at only 19 years of age. Other Boise Dirtbags running included Eric Fitzpatrick & Rick Valentine.

At the River of No Return 50k, Danielle Marquette earned herself another podium finish for the year with a 2nd Female Overall on a tough course that gains ~7,800′. Bow Angemi took 4th overall after a hard fought run…and a couple smooches for the effort. Nice.

With Western States coming up, we’ll have a great update next week. Until then, enjoy your running Dirtbags!
