We’ll start off this week’s update checking in with the Dirtbags down in Arkansas where it looks like the crew got together several times throughout last week. Starting last Thursday for their weekly group run up Mt Kessler in Fayetteville, Saturday for a long run and finally the Patriotic 5 Miler on the Greenway trail, also in Fayetteville. Looks like Ambassador Cassie has put together a great team!
From my team in Boise, we saw a new trail race put on by our very own Joelle Vaught (her first time being an RD): The Dirty Dog Trail Marathon & Half-marathon. The race helps benefit the Ridge to Rivers trail system as well as the Idaho Humane Society. It went very well for another Dirtbag, Eric Fitzpatrick, who not only took the overall win on a very tough course, but managed to earn an extra $100 for being the first one up the huge climb on the aptly named Hard Guy Trail. He accomplished all of this while wearing what looks to be his grandmother’s tank top…great work Eric!
Our final update comes from Lauren Ikerd out of Logan, Utah. Lauren took on the very difficult Logan Peak Trail: 28 miles and 7,261′ of vertical gain. Definitely check out her full race report. Way to go Lauren!
As always, check back next week for more Dirtbag action!
